What a great way to finish off our dance season with dinner, AGM and a dance. We celebrated our Beginners completing the Mainstream Level of dance and also many Mainstream dancers who completed milestones of commitment to square dancing. What a great start to our 2024-25 Square Dance Season. We want to welcome our 9 new dancers who have joined our club. We also want to welcome 4 Country Sunshiner Members who have returned after a break. Check out the New Dancers tab and follow along with what we are learning.
We are grateful the rain held off in order for us to enjoy the outdoors among our Country Sunshiner friends while we enjoyed fantastic music.
Here is a little glimpse of the National Festival in Calgary with over 650 dancers.
We had 17 dancers participate in a demo dance on July 8th at Canterbury Foundation in Edmonton. Two of the residents danced 25 years ago and joined us for one of the tips remembering the moves like it was only yesterday. Demo dances are a great way for all of the clubs to come together for a single cause of showing the community how much fun we have Square Dancing.
